Every summer, The Queen hosts these Garden Parties at Buckingham Palace as a way of rewarding and recognising public service. Approximately 8,000 people are nominated to attend each Garden Party, drawn from all walks of life.
The Lord-Lieutenant is invited to make a limited number of nominations of suitable persons who have made a significant contribution within their communities in Cheshire. It is The Queen’s wish that these invited should be drawn from as wide a range as possible and reflect the diversity of each Lieutenancy.
If you wish to nominate someone you think has given outstanding service, please request a Nomination Form (or you can download the file below) and send it to the Lieutenancy Office by 1 December.
It is important to bear in mind that many more eligible people are nominated than there are places available, and therefore success cannot be guaranteed. The nomination of an individual should therefore remain confidential. If the Lord-Lieutenant is able to include the nomination in his Lists, he will write direct to the nominee.
